Do You Use Online Meetings to Sell?

Adobe recently hired me to do a webcast on the subject of using web conferencing as a sales tool. To my great surprise, the other speaker is going to be Gerhard Gschwandtner, publisher of Selling Power magazine, where I’m a long-time feature writer and columnist.

Over the years, I’ve interviewed sales pros who’ve used web conferencing to sell, and I’ve been a guest on webcasts intended for lead generation and so forth. I know for a fact that web conferencing is a big deal in software sales, which has glommed onto it big time.

I’m also fairly certain (based upon general buzz) that it’s catching on in other industries, too. The reason is simple, I think. If you can eliminate one offsite meeting per week per rep, turns out you can save around $10,000 a year in travel costs.

Anyway, if you want to catch up on the latest and greatest in using web conferencing to sell, the webcast is on Thursday, February 12, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada). Here’’s the link:

I don’t get any extra money or anything if you sign up; I just thought you guys might be interested.

Meanwhile, I’m curious about how many of you are already into web conferencing as a sales tool. Here’s a poll:
